Enhanced Test Case Management

Quickly regenerate test runs to re-run tests, including failed tests, and track the number of times tests were re-run during the test cycle. Read TestTrack TCM Best Practices for additional information about regenerating test runs.

Easily run multiple automated scripts from the Test Runs list window and automatically update the test run status based on results, saving time by eliminating the need to manually update test run results.

Paste hyperlinks into a test case or test run step, making it easy to provide additional information and instructions about the test. With support for URLs, file URLs, ttstudio links, and sscm links, you can include a link to a Web-based application, a Surround SCM source file, another test case, or even a file on a shared server.

Quickly find test runs and determine testing status with Test Run filters. Create filters to find test runs that have failed, test runs with automated scripts that have not been run, and more.

Updated User Interface

TestTrack’s refined look and feel, with new toolbar, workflow, and application icons, makes it easier to identify commands and determine issue status.

Not sure what the icons in list windows, such as the pencil in the Defects list, mean? Tooltips are now displayed for list window icons that indicate new, changed, assigned, and closed defects, test cases, and test runs.

TestTrack Studio 2008.1 also includes a user-customizable toolbar, support for multiple top level windows, and additional usability enhancements.

Improved Ease of Use

Save time by selecting the specific data you want to copy when duplicating a defect, test case, or test run. Quickly duplicate defects that must be fixed on multiple platforms or in multiple releases.

Now copy and paste files from the Windows or Mac OS X clipboard directly onto the Attachments tab when you need to attach a file to a defect, test case, or test run.

TestTrack Studio 2008.1 also includes shortcuts for creating user-defined views, updates to the Quick Find toolbar and Overview tab, improved tab data indicators, and additional usability enhancements.

TestTrack Studio 2008.1 also includes the following features to provide administrators with greater flexibility and additional security options:

• Enforce required fields, based on a user’s security group
• Hide inactive users when assigning users to a security group
• Create ‘silent’ workflow events that do not display a dialog box when the event is entered
